Rental Desert

I gazed across my indoor landscape

Made of slung garb and piled mail

I gazed across the poorly lit valley

And all I saw was barren and alone

It was a mistake, it must have been

To bring myself out into this desert with no way of finding my way out

The boards along the floor became dunes

My head went from flustered to burnt

Hunger loomed like never before

And then I decided to get out of my armchair

And walk over to my fridge for a refreshing something or other

But again, all I found was barren and alone

Then it hits me

This was perfect for a starving man in a rental desert
